Moving in together!
Exactly 1 year ago today, we got the keys for our very own first flat together. Even though Sam wasn’t moving in that day (and it took me a couple of days to make the various journeys!), we were still there to get our own keys.
Our parents and carers probably remember that day more than we do because it was the biggest, most hectic trip to ‘The Range’ to literally buy EVERYTHING for our new flat; from bedding, to pots and pans, to foot stalls, and soap dishes! £700 and many MANY hours later, everything was back at the flat, and it was so exciting that after years of a ‘long-distance’ relationship, and even how often we saw each other, living together was a whole new venture and it was one of the exciting moments that Sam and I will always share.
Now, a year later, and with our wedding fast approaching, we still cherish each other and love each other even more than we did before. We are supported a lot of the time by multiple carers and so we have always used the evening as our time together.
Moving out of our parents’ houses was difficult for both of us, and I think for our parents too..but it was also the best decision we ever made, and soon it will be as husband and wife❤️
