Last week, Sam & I were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to visit Bewl Water; a beautiful park & nature reserve that is the home to a very large reservoir. People make use of this space for sailing & other water sports - the wheelyboat being one of them.
Hosted by the DFSG (Duchenne Family Support Group), we had the opportunity to drive onto an electric-powered boat, and had a lovely, experienced team who made sure we were comfortable and happy the whole time.
Sam had the opportunity to drive the boat as well; I think our parents enjoyed it just as much as we did! The day was ended with a lovely BBQ with the rest of the charity.
